Good intense portrait - and looks like she really does mean it! I love the clarity of the tones.

It's interesting that, by cropping just below the flower in the hat and removing her right shoulder up to the junction of hair and hat, the focal point dramatically turns to her eyes and in my view makes the composition more powerful.

Perfect focus and clarity. A tranquil scene very nicely portrayed. In my view the 'Action' is the subtle pace of this boat and was probably refreshing in the challenge.

I really love rugged windwept natural environments like this. If that silver birch(?) is alive then I'm impressed with it's endurance. It's a well composed shot with good colour - have you tried it in mono? Perhaps a little dodge and burn on the tree would lift it a little and increase the starkness too.

Beautiful capture - what a cutie!

She's alittle shaded so lifting her body with some subtle dodging might help. If you have Photoshop CS then the shadow highlight filter would lift it too (but a mask would be useful so as not to treat the already bright areas).
