Lurking IIby soupComment: Eerie lighting and a remarkable feeling of being watched. Very unusual photo. |

After the Frostby soupComment: Excellent stuff - very nice observation. Just a little more DOF would have helped here.

Thirty MPHby jonpinkComment: Smart shot. Nice composition and contextual detail. A touch heavy on the reds and I'd like to have seen the streaks right across the shot. |

Rue du Champ-de-Marsby mariomelComment: Very interesting composition, lovely tones and texture, and a smart sign too. Very neat and hangable. If anything, it's a little wide of the brief as the sign isn't technically a road sign but it's seen from the road. But it doesn't really matter since I would much prefer to see a shot like this repetively than a shot that simply wins a challenge. [9] |

Used Beautyby lizbeth010Comment: Nice, dynamic angle but suffers a little for overexposure. I think mono would work well if all the tones were deeper and showed off that bubbling paint work some more. Nice. |

Read Moreby lizbeth010Comment: I very much like the glowing warmth and crisp texture of the paper. Good composition apart from the distracting dark shapes at the top. It's more potent with these cropped out.

Stopby Crafty SueComment: If you're going to shoot a STOP sign, then you ought to try something creative, other than plonking it dead centre and slightly out of focus! Sorry, but not only are there dozens of them, this is uninterestingly shot with quite unpleasant colours.
An off-centre composition normally helps and a steady hand and sharp focus is essential. Trying to find a reason to relate the word 'STOP' would help too - like a bird flying past or someone walking perhaps? |

Water in the winterby malinkaComment: I don't know where your roads are but this is a sign to me that you may have driven too far!
Surely, you submitted this by accident? This is 'Road Signs Re-visited'!! :D
Nice capture but it's all a bit out of focus (by the way). |
