Very smooth shot. Good use of the technique and a crisply focused subject.

I'm being hypercritical here, but I suppose the bird is just a bit boring. If it was taking off or landing it would add some interest and that special x-factor.

Just larking about. A beautiful shot - nice idea too. Some photo libraries would probably snap this up. Well composed, although I'm sure this was just a fluke, lucky snapshot with no effort involved.

There is some excellent DOF in this shot, but I reckon most people will score low because of your gimmicky cut out. They'll presume it was superimposed or something. I'd like to have at least seen his feet on the bark to givve it context.

I'm going to give it a 7 because, assuming I'm right that this shot is untampered, it's a great capture.

Beautiful, but missing the brief - this is long Depth Of Field (literally!). Got to score it low for that reason I'm afraid, but outside of the challenge this is lovely.

Just love this one - totally fresh take on the challenge and a really good use of DOF rather than a gratuitous object (as is the case for mine I'm afraid!) shot close up. This has to be a 10 because I this really represents the concept and is not over-perfect. [10]

I couldn't help noticing that there is quite a pleasantly shaped breast in this shot! ;)

Nice idea, but I'm not convinced about the confusing material, which is a shame because just the body on ots own would have made this very pure. Shadow close to camera is distracting and I think getting in closer would have maximised the DOF effect.

Ha ha! Excellent stuff really. Nice bit of detail and good choice of subject. Colours bug me a little, but I wonder if some playing around with colour balance might yield some interesting results (it's the green and brown that bother me). [8]
