Magical Curves

Comment:
Nice subject (reminds me of the manual days of design!). Composition would benefit from ofsetting the subject to bottom right, creating some lead-in lines. Arranging the French Curves less rigidly would enhance the aesthetics too.

This is both a brave and unusual view. It's sometimes too easy to do what you're told and this is the result of obstinance - a sight that is rarely recorded. Well captured.

That's just lovely. Clear, atypical and richly coloured. Well done on the feature.

It's no contest Richard - they're alternative views of different elements of the subject. Yours uses a great technique to good effect!

Thanks anyway.

Very nice shot - good use of the technique.

The title is the same as my shot which caught my eye recently:

Can't believe I didn't lock on to the MP link. I REALLY AM SO FUCKING SORRY.

You were lucky, our dad would thrash us to sleep wi't belt, then we had to get up 5 hours before we went to bed and lick road clean wi't tongue...

:D

I think this conveys everything you intended - a rustic little watermill, nestling in a tranquil setting in beautiful sunshine. Whilst not being perfect (the overexposed grass being it's most prominent problem) it's a lovely record of this scene.

I feel that the inclusion of the glistening plant in the foreground very much contributes to the sense of being a secret viewer here and would have been significantly less atmospheric without it.

This is great. If you had a long DOF from front to back this would have looked even more perplexing. Nice.

This looks like a little painting - lovely. I wouldn't say it personifies 'Proportion' but it has lots of character and a good sense of scale.
