Sie Wartetby whatsinanameComment: Shot is too dark, sloppily composed (tilted) and has little of interest to hold the viewer. It sounds harsh but I believe in honesty - so sorry if this angers you.
Some remedies that spring to mind are:
1. shoot from anything other than eye level (above the head or floor level perhaps)
2. find a focal point - a platform being swept, a man looking at watch, a baby crying - anything!
3. get into a position where you have some good light on the subject or use the flash but diffuse it by wrapping it in tissue paper so that you don't bleach out subjects close to the camera. |

Patients: Waiting for Dinnerby dcasiusComment: Intriguing spider and a nice, crisp shot. Mispelled title though - 'doh!' :D
If this had been an editing challenge it would have been nice to lose the shadow on the left, but it certainly subtracts nothing from the interest in this. Hope you do well. |

Sunburstby BobsterLobsterComment: Very tastefully treated/filtered with a great choice of twisted, gnarly tree. Nice work Bob. |

Round as the moonby WildpurpleComment: This is a lovely shot - so clear. One thing I would do though is reduce the halos of colour. I often do the following (in PhotoShop) to eliminate this without converting to mono:
Convert image to Lab colour [under 'Mode']
Got to Channels and click on the 'a' channel - apply a guassian blur to almost obliterate the definition
Do the smae with channel 'b'
Apply a light Sharpen or Unshapr Mask to the 'Lighten' channel
Convert back to RGB
- voila!
Cheers

Smoothieby PhilipDyerComment: Funny anecdote in the description and a very appetising shot. It's motivating me to create a smoothie just like this one now. Yum. |

Lunar Landingby scalvertComment: If this locust isn't in front of a huge poster of the moon then that's an amazing shot. Nice composition. |

Lilac And Cloudby MonaComment: Sweet. Meets the challenge, but it's suffering from a lack of detail, due to stark contrast, and therefore interest. |
