jelliesby AleciaComment: You simply can't find more amazing creatures in your wildest imagination. Sea life is quite astonishing. |

Portrait Doubleby ColeyComment: Unusual (although reminiscent of another challenge shot) and effective. Eye is in a strange position though. Looks like some editing has shaved off part of her reflected nose! |

Relaxing pose between two shotsby menardmamComment: She looks like a reluctant subject which renders the shot a bit less effective. It's also an unflattering angle doesn't help. Had she opned her eyes and looked at the camera she would have looked mischievous or flirty.
Lighting is flat which makes it look like camera flash, whereas directional lighting would create more mood and bring form to clothing and hair. |

Aliciaby jodiecostonComment: Nice face! Strangely, because the face is upside down I think having her eyes open further would help the viewer see more personality and 'grasp' the image. The right way up she looks great but those eyes look just a little too closed for aesthetic perfection. |

Send in the Clownsby Prime_TimeComment: Nice idea. Subject is too indistinct and under lit. Image is fuzzy and soft with what looks like some rather rough editing. Subject offset further to right would emphasis the loneliness/sadness. |

1860's in technicolorby ladpupmoeComment: Had the border not spoiled this I think it could have scored well, and is actually quite novel. However, it's so intrusive that it kills much of its charm. Clever idea. |

Dreamerby NazgulComment: Truthfully she doesn't match your title at all to me. This is quite a 'hard' portrait with strong lines, slightly sinister lighting (from below) and a stern expression on the model's face. It's nicely composed but I think the lighting does not enhance the face very well or create much atmosphere/moodiness. If you were trying to make the viewer see her for dreamer she may be, or to portray her as visionary, then I think you could have taken her from a jaunty angle with her looking upwards - the camera skewed also - and place her in a background that is more unusual. Maybe some subtle sof focus would also help. |
