Nice observation. Good job you kept some reference of the ground in, but really you could have done with some more. I don't think it would have mattered if the subject was smaller in the frame because it's very brightly coloured (unless other objects in view were equally dazzling).

This far and away my favourite of the challenge.

It has everything a good photo should: a story, great technique, an excellent capture (right time - right place) and above all it's a wonderful appraoch to the brief.

The way the other bird looks on is priceless. You can shove your dodge + burn frenzies - this is real skill. Just love the relationship to the title too. [10]
