Riverbendby bongoComment: Lovely foreground texture and exposure. Some areas look a little to treated to me though, making it seem a bit forced, which I don't think was necessary. I really do love the snow here - very detailed and well toned. |

Snowy Night at Rittenhouse Squareby phreakonComment: What a beautifully presented scene of the 'ordinary'. It has that serene, tangible silence about it that I love when snow falls and dampens sound, while delivering an uplifting sense of abandonment of rules & regulations. Rare snow (as here in London) is one of those rare instant changes that society experiences which can so often change everything in a short space of time. I love it - and this could pass for an Adams due to it's good tonal range and excellent exposure. Good luck. |

Closerby eckoeComment: This absolutely had to be well focused to be successful and, unfortunately it isn't. You had a powerful, well defined subject here, so it's a shame that you weren't able to improve on the result here - unless you've cropped into a very large shot? |

moonlitby hecksheriComment: An intriguing subject with some nice detail, which is marred only by a super-dense, busy background. The moonlight is almost irrelevant due to a lack of context to demonstrate time of day. Main subject is a little washed out in the foreground, so it may have been better to move round and use some directional light to pick up the form and texture better. |

Tributeby fotodudeComment: Very austere, moody shot which evokes that Adams vibe quite well. Shame about the blow-out of the sun, but otherwise, it's well composed. It does perhaps lack a key focal point though, despite a strong, well treated sky. |

Tree in Springby Rook3000Comment: A more dynamic angle with additional features would bring some intrigue to this. You have some rich tones there, but AA's style normally included some foreground interest and long DOF. Therefore it may have been more striking to feature some of your subject's textures and detail rather than simply placing the entire thing in centre frame. At least shooting with light any direction other than behind you would aid contrast and definition so mving left would have brought more clarity. Image looks somewhat noisy or compressed.
Your tree is pretty though with some delicate branches and a nice sky. |

Silvermine In Winterby BikeRacerComment: Nice observation. Well chosen angle and it's a pleasant scene. I particularly like the icicle that has fallen, and the meshed window. It's not a perfect shot but has plenty of charm and there is definitely an 'Adams vibe' in this, thanks mainly to the DOF and detail in the foreground. |

Nearly Thereby agwrightComment: Beautiful scene with well chosen vantage point and subject. Without those human reference points the scale of this would have been largely lost. The light is almost perfect, but lacks defintion on the nearest portion of foreground. Horizon is lightly skewed, but the 'Adams factor' is relatively strong, despite some over-weighting of dark areas on the left of shot. |

AKHA M O R N I N Gby librodoComment: The touch of movement here hints of a geniunely authentic experience which, coupled with the stunning light and excellent 'model' makes for a near perfect shot.
Just a small point: I can see a small amount of JPEG compression noise wher the sky meets form |
