The new music school at midnightby GlanniComment: I really like the crop on this. There's just enough of the crane and the building to convey the idea. I would have tried to fit everything into the frame, and it probably would not have had the same impact. It could be a touch brighter, I think. |

Towering Giants by ErikVComment: I expected to see a lot of shots like this one. The colors, clouds, and silhouettes are nice. I like the way the cranes frame the other parts of the image. |

Almost Doneby boone168Comment: I'm really curious about that "scaffolding." It looks like a bunch of bamboo lashed together. It's interesting how the netting coordinates with the buildings primary-color color scheme. |

MC Escherby vawendyComment: Yeah, it is Escher-ish. Relativity, I guess? The guy--with his head down and the hardhat hiding his face--has that same anonymous look that a lot Escher's people did. |

Constructive Playby briansmith246Comment: I really like the dappled lighting and how it adds little splashes of color to what would have otherwise been a perfect silhouette. The color looks great against the deep blue sky. |

- Working Round the Clock -by andrewtComment: No one should be able to DNMC this one; there's an amazing amount of construction going on! I'd say you picked the perfect time of the evening to capture this one. The cool colors are nice, especially with the warm lights and starbursts for contrast. |

Da-Karby chusterComment: I guess the building in the background is under construction? I think I see a guy in a hardhat in the lower left, and there's a guy on the second floor, but my thought is that they are preparing to implode this building rather than working on finishing it it. That may or may not be the case, but that's how it seems to me. If fact, the building doesn't even command much attention even though it fills most of the frame. The car is what draws the eye (and the title steers the eye in that direction, too). The whole image just feels run down looking, and the B/W conversion suits it well. It's an image to be proud of, but I bet it will get hammered with DNMCs. |
