the blood seems a little too bright to be real, the bird should be turned onto his side to make it as real as possibe. birds when dead usually arent flat on their backs. I think that you shoudl have moved the bird to a less noisy background and it wouldnt distract away from the blood and bird. there is a lot of pink in the breast of this bird, maybe sponging it and with saturation would have brought out teh pinks and the blues
