the actual structure is sharp and excellent colour and depth to it. the sky looks a tad funny, could be to do with HDR and TM, but the edges just look wrong. Nicely captured though

i have looked at this shot several times now trying ot figure out what it is that does not jive with me. I think that the sharpness that you have very well captured on the head seems to blend into complete softness of the fur when looked at as a whole. maybe a slight crop off the bottom to compensate the lack of sharpness in the fur would have helped

lovely shot, well done, i am sure this was probably done with telephoto and that would explain the lack of sharpness on the head and neck. Lovely colours which are deep and vibrant in the leaves adn the white pops

Now the question here is, is the mule in the field to protect the horses? as that is what they are usually designed to do, very good attack 'dogs' against coyoto's adn snakes. lovely to just see a simple clean picture telling a story. the soft muted colours works so well here with the pinks and greens, well done
