I like this shot a lot, but the distortion on the faces spoils it. Extreme care needs to be taken at focal lengths below 20mm. The flash is a bit too strong. Also, the umbrella covers the eyes of the girl which is a no-no in my book. Still a great shot though which is quirky and engaging.

Good photography to me is about capturing something you don't see everyday, or capturing the everyday in a new way and I don't see that here... this is something I see every time I drive in rain. I do think the almost filtered effect works well though.

Shame the rain is so light in this shot... I had to look at the splashes in the river to see evidence of rain. PP definitely takes this in the direction of digital art, and I'm not 100% sure I like it, but I think it could grow on me. The effect is certainly striking. If the sky wasn't quite so burnt out, I think this would be a very strong shot. I think it's oversharpened too much for my eyes here which detracts from the effect.
