In the zoneby xylkeComment: Composition is all over the place, not sure what we're meant to be focusing on. Bassist looking out of the frame leads viewer's eye out of the photo. I'm missing the headstock on the bass. Placement of subjects in photo feels very unbalanced. |

Acoustic Solaceby JollyRogerComment: Doesn't communicate live music to me. Not sure why his jeans are the only part of the photo to be in focus, this really needs to be the face. Could do with far more contrast, and not really a fan of the sepia used here. |

Perhaps for a 'dead music' challenge? ;-) I think he should be a tad less transparent. I do feel I have to vote this down for not meeting the challenge, but I do think it is a good shot. |

Where the fingers do the talkingby manuraoComment: Thumb is too near the edge of the frame, and the tip has been slightly cropped off. Composition doesn't work for me with the hand centred in the shot. Dof works well. Doesn't really convey an atmosphere of live music to me, this could have been taken anywhere. White balance is too orange. |

cosmic loveby sagadaComment: I like the effect here, but could have worked better with bounced flash. Not a good idea to have half a performer at both sides of your shot. Singer's mic obscures the eyes of the performer behind him... a no-no. Great colours. |
