I've heard that you should always focus on the eyes, and I think this would have worked a lot better with that rule in mind. The reflections and burnt out highlights on the eye don't help either, but there are some great textures. 6

Hmm, Google language tools tells me this means 'The rubber Art to cancel' from Italian to English. Not speaking any Italian, this has me completely baffled. Interesting shot though, although I don't like the noise levels (which could have been helped with NeatImage), and the shadows. The shadows don't look clear enough to be deliberate, so it's difficult to tell what kind of lighting effect you were after. I think your title is something along the lines of creating art from rubber erasers, and I'm not sure art is really what has been created here. 6

Airheads Playing Volleyball

My wife said I wasn't clear enough with my intentions for this photo...
I'm not really into sports, and was making an artistic comment on the vacuous nature of these guys posing by the beach playing volleyball. That's why I called them airheads in the title... there's nothing going on in their heads! By removing their heads and the ball, I was making a comment on how I saw them. Obviously this photo wasn't for everyone, but I still stand by it.

The Beginning

I feel that the stones(?) are too warm a colour for this shot to really impact. I hope you don't mind but I had a quick experiment with this photo by desaturating everything but the shoot, and then adjusting the colour balance to provide more blue in the highlights and shadows, and a touch more cyan and blue in the mids. This then needs NeatImage to remove the noise. To my taste this then packs a lot more punch, emphasising the vibrant shoot coming through the inert, lifeless stones. This is all DPC legal. Other than that, it's a great shot! 8
