I applaud the sciences but biology is on the top of my listby amazoneeaComment: Superb picture, and choice of post-processing colouration, but badly shoehorned into challenge with a less than elegant title. I really detest the border however. If I remember, I'll add this to my favourites as I really like the photo, but I have to score it low because of the irrelevance to the challenge. 3 |

Sun raysby pitsamanComment: Incredible picture. I'm glad you didn't enter it into the science challenge though. Presumably it was taken too early for the lighting challenge? Shame as I'm sure it could have been a winner. |

Cog in the Machineby kostiaComment: A good macro, effective lighting and colour. I like the composition. One of my favourites. 9
Edit: Seems like the comments marked as helpful are very arbitrary. Two comments below are almost identical, but only one is marked as helpful. Very odd. Message edited by author 2003-10-20 06:22:18. |

Exposed To the Cold Worldby sagestudioComment: I had given this shot a 10, but after much thought decided to reduce the score to a 7, because I don't think it meets the challenge. Without the title, I'd be struggling to work out the relevance. It is one of my favourite shots this challenge though... the symmetry works well here as well as the background pattern and textures. I like the blue duotone. I just wish it fitted the challenge better. |

Fall Colors Revealedby alanfreedComment: Maybe I'm being picky, but I don't see autumnal colours as having been concealed. They didn't exist. This photo is so oversaturated, it hurts my eyes to look at it! 3 |

Exposing A New Dimensionby ColeyComment: Strange ratio of negative space to subject here. Also a strange crop. I think I'd have liked to see more space above the head, and less below the hand. Perhaps in portrait orientation as well. Shame, as this is a very strong shot otherwise. Great idea, and great colours. 7
Edit: Only one helpful comment? That seems to be insulting on all the other people who bothered to comment on your picture. Message edited by author 2003-10-20 06:24:24. |

baby teethby grigrigirlComment: Hmm, this feels like it was shoehorned into the challenge. Without the title, I'd be struggling to see the connection. 4 |
