Mirzah Jadeby Shea927Comment: She looks like she is saying "Just take the stupid picture already!"
A very nice portrait, but it comes off a bit soft. There is a lack of sharpness to this photo and I think most of it is due to the use of excessive JPEG compression. Your file size of only 50k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing a lot of the detail and clarity from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one) |

15 cat years = 105 human yearsby TillyTigerComment: Oh, do I call this a shoehorn or not?... Such tough decisions. As far as the shot itself, I'm afraid it comes off as a snapshot, I'm afraid. Cute kitty, though. Looks like my own cat, Skeeter, who is sadly no longer with me. |

Northfield Lodge- 1842 (Cobblestone)by smichenerComment: I'm not finding this one has much visual impact on me. It may be just a matter of some adjustments to give is a little pop, though. The subject does have some interesting textures and colors. |

Trainloadby naomikComment: I'd love to see a larger version of this. I see a loss of detail from compression, but this is an extremely complex image that clearly would not compress easily. Still gets a high vote and a fave. |

White Sands, New Mexicoby ashoffComment: A nice landscape, but very grainy in the sky. Your 58k file size tells me this is probably due to excessive JPEG compression. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one) You could have also used a few more pixels of image size. |
