No Passengers Permittedby radarbratComment: Very cool service vehicle. Any idea what this thing does? While I was out shooting for the gas stations challenge, I took a pic of a maintenance train that essentially cleans the rocks under the railway. Took me some research to find out what it was, however.
The pic itself may just need a little boost in wow-factor to make it more DPC-friendly |

End of the Lineby dsternerComment: Looks like its been there a while. Not sure what it is or is not about this one. I think maybe it's the composition. My eye gets led right past the subject without stopping. I find myself looking down the tracks instead of at the train. |

All Aboard the DNMC Express!!!!by risenphoenixsterComment: Not as DNMC as some others. It may be a toy train, but it IS a train. My beef with it is not about fitting the challenge. At only 26k in size, you used a lot of JPEG compression in this pic and it is probably what is taking away most of the detail and impact. Compression kills detail. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (150k for this one) |

The L&N don't stop here anymoreby RunzamukkComment: Not sure what to say on this. Theres really just nothing here that my eye gets led to, or a main point that grabs my interest.
Those rails do look really beat up. |

Holding It Togetherby karmatComment: I like the tones and treatment. The composition does not work as good for me as it could, though. I think it's the angle of the line the rail is taking through the frame. That's not any real flaw, just an "I would have done it some other way" kind of thing. |

Look at me - I'm a train on a trackby MiepComment: I'm looking, I'm looking! Waiting for you to do a trick or something. I like the perspective and composition. I think you were probably aware of those really dark shadows on the left hiding lots of detail. |
