Cloistersby drake217Comment: Dang. I forgot to leave one of my comments about excessive JPEG compression. I can correct that oversight now, however. (You don't get off that easy!) There are a ton of compression artifacts visible on and around the edges of the building. Your tiny file size of 37K reflect gobs of compression being used. When you save, always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one)
Added: It figures that the one time I overlook excessive compression, everybody else noticed it and commented on it! Message edited by author 2009-05-08 00:45:42. |

waitingby vawendyComment: You can blame the mediocre score on the fact that my wife liked it. I liked it also, but of course I would have skipped the vote if it had come up for me. |

Dive of the Valkyriesby raishComment: This is the second entry of this bizarre sight you have entered. Can you explain to us what it is?! Looks like a telephone wire swallowed some divers. I think it is a sculpture of some sort?
You certainly gave K-guy some great material to work from! Message edited by author 2009-05-08 00:33:11. |

Off To Warby pawdrixComment: A nice high placement for a genre of photography that often does poorly here. Really captured the mood and delivered a strong message. I gave it a 7. |

Get off the tracks!by snafflesComment: Now that I know this was yours, I feel bad about giving you a 4. I guess there is a good reason that voting is anonymous. At least I left you feedback to tell you why! |

View from the parkby StrikeslipComment: Great view and perspective, but I'm not caring for the selective desaturation. For me, it doesn't seem to add anything to the image. The b/w portion is well done, however. Nice and contrasty with lots of detail. |

staircaseby power47Comment: You should have used the entire 720 pixels available. Lots of nice detail in this shot that I am probably not seeing because of the size. |

Treeby obscurityComment: A good first effort. It's got some nice texture and detail to it and some post processing tricks could have bumped this up into the 5's. Didn't come up for me in voting, but I think I would have likely given it a 5. |
