Restlessby bspurgeonComment: Very well done, though I think similar has been done before. |

Glacier Curvesby russiComment: Not sure if your title is what it really is or not, but it is some very neat looking textures. |

Bizarre Balloonsby SuttonNComment: If I don't understand it, it must be art. Composition does not really seem to be there on this. The subject is stuffed in the lower right corner, but my eye is drawn to the bright area at the top. This looks like it is in a mall, where you probably could have obtained a different perspective on them. |

Day at the Dumpby whiterookComment: Fits the challenge, but comes off as an average snapshot to me. Seems slightly tilted, not much eye leading composition. My eye starts toward the building, but is then stopped by the tree in front of it. Looks like you have several blobs of sensor dust as well. I have one like it that multiple sensor cleanings have not removed. Fortunately, mine is at the edge of the frame.
A wideangle shot of trash heaps might have been cool. |

Almost forgot that granite is a stone!by TammsterComment: I didn't vote this challenge, but I just read through your notes on this shot and found them quite interesting. I have found the same thing, that photography makes me look at familiar things in new and unique ways. Instead of just seeing an item, I see the shapes, the subtleties of colors and patterns, and the way the light plays off of it all.
Though this image did poorly as an artistic challenge entry, a larger version would probably be quite nice as a desktop background or an overlay texture.
I agree, in spite of the low score, this challenge was a successful effort for you! (I've had a few of those successful low scores myself!) Message edited by author 2009-07-01 19:29:06. |
