Discoverby CeliannaComment: I'm one of the dense voters that did not see the connection. Of course, now that I can see your notes, I understand what you were trying to convey. I'm afraid I gave it a neutral vote of a 5, because as wonderful an image as I think it is, I just failed to see the connection. Sometimes (frequently, in fact) thinking outside the box is not rewarded with a good score. Still a very well done entry, even if the relevance went over my head. Folded Sedimentary Layersby GeneralEComment: So the tree IS embedded in the cliff face! Cool. I do agree with Kaiser_chef that a different angle may have shown off the uniqueness of this to better advantage. An interesting entry nonetheless. Thanks for the Wikipedia link explaining the formation. |

Antelope Canyonby Ja-9Comment: Oh, cool! And I get to be the first to congratulate you on your first ribbon! Didn't take you nearly as long as mine took!

A small wonder that made an earth ….by gauravComment: Focus and exposure seem to be on the rock in the front left, rather than the pebble. I think some careful curves work might have been able to help with the exposure. |

Water and Rocksby Pug-HComment: That's a neat looking rock. Those checkerboard cuts are so straight, they look manmade. |

Water meets Rockby TrompieComment: It could be an illusion of the angles, but this scene looks tilted to me. Otherwise a sweet scene. |
