Heart (Fish) Oilby codfish709Comment: Tons of JPEG compression showing here. Red is also a bad color for compression artifacts. Does not hide it well. Your 58k file size shows you had plenty of additional overhead to avoid the artifacts. Always use the least compression you can and still slip in under the challenge limit. |

Oil Wranglerby mgarsteckComment: This is a tough one to decide on. It's a well done portrait, but I have to decide if the challenge was to actually have oil in the picture or to simply illustrate something related to oil. I'm afraid I'm on the fence with this and I'll have to give it a neutral 5. |

In Good Handsby mpetersComment: Offhand this appears to be more an illustration of grease than oil, but I'll let it fly. The freewheel is oily, after all. It's a good bike themed shot and I expect it to do well. |

Location of Julian's star #2by Yo_SpiffComment: Originally posted by scooter97: It looks pretty commercialized there. Does it still have a historical 'feel' to it? |
VERY commercialized. The stockyards is no longer a working stock yards, but is now the local tourist trap that provides a visitor with a taste of the old west. There are quite a few areas of the stockyards that are not packed with restaurants and shops. You just need to get a few yards away from the main drag. |
