Nursery School Colorsby PGerstComment: I see a copier inside the window. Extra points for that from the resident copier tech. (Looks like a Canon, judging from the appearance of the document feeder.) |

Opening the Season...Another Loss by tfarrell23Comment: The light pole is a major eye grabber that pulls me away form the main subject. Not sure if cloning that item out would be within challenge rules or not. Otherwise, I like this and it tells an all too common tale. |

Oh Noby ShaylaComment: Seems very much a snapshot I'm afraid. The subject seems pushed to far over at the edge of the frame and the harsh midday lighting is working against it. There are a few editing tricks that might be able to help with those bright highlights. Some careful use of curves, or some burning, perhaps. I would probably try some adjustments on a duplicate layer, since this is advanced editing, that would be allowable. |

9by karmatComment: I see we can't escape the ever popular drop shot, even in this side challenge!
This could make a nice overlay texture. |

Wireby danculwellComment: I gave it a 6 and pressed on. It is a simple composition and initially grabby, but did not engage my attention for very long. I still felt it deserved a vote on the positive side of the scale. I had actually guessed it would come in at about 5.2-5.3. It appears most of us came in way below where we anticipated. |

L i g h t L i n e sby JacksonGarietyComment: I gave it a 5. Composition is somewhat too centered for my preference. Not a lot of interest in the water, but it consumes half the frame. Moving the bridge and waterline down to about the lower third may have helped the comp. I also feel the golden tones are just overwhelming the shot. Perhaps a different WB would have brought out some other colors besides all that yellow. |
