Awakeningby ErikVComment: Wonderful use of b/w. I'm not really sure what city that is, but I'm going to make a wild guess by the style that this could be an AP entry. |

Days Gone Byby CraftyComment: This looks very familiar. I am sure you or someone else has entered another shot of this in a previous challenge. I would suggest cloning out the overhead wires, as they are the only thing detracting from the perception the title is implying. |

lake frontby aplomb76Comment: Looks like the line of trees is cowering in fear of threatening stormclouds. |

Seasideby ScholtenComment: A more subtle, though visible use of the treatment. I like what it did with the rocks and the remainders of that old pier. |

Moving Onby idnicComment: Tells a story, though the man in the scene does not appear to be a vagrant as the rest of the scene and the title suggests. |

Mountain Airby AmmieComment: I am seeing some serious artifacting and pixellation in the image and I don't know what is causing it. Your 193k file size does not suggest JPEG compression as the cause. Perhaps it was the processing, or resizing. I have also seen cases where an image was saved and opened as a JPEG a number of times during the course of working on it, and lost some clarity upon each save/open cycle. I'm afraid I have to give this a 4, as something that shows some genuine effort and knowledge, but also has some major problems. |

The Boysby JudiComment: I like the action in this scene, but I am not sure if it was a good choice for the treatment. It gives a strong orangey look to that first horse. Perhaps selectively turning down the reds in some areas of the photo would help it for me. There is also some visible tilt that I think is also an issue. |
