Nature is the Best Scienceby spraguer1377Comment: This image comes off to me very soft, with near-blown highlights in places. I don't think this particular photo has the makings of a killer entry, but I do think some careful adjustments (such as levels, curves, contrast, sharpening) could help crank it up a notch. |

Treescapeby malskiComment: A bit grainy and I see some artifacts around the limbs. My suspicion is this that some of this may be the result of trying to pull the detail from a backlit JPEG exposure. I'd be curious to see the out of the camera shot. In spite of that major problem, I find it a pleasing scene. |

Mingus Mountainsby justineComment: Comes off to me as a bit overprocessed. Perhaps reducing the saturation of the yellow channel could give it a more realistic look. I've found yellow is a major component of foliage greens and I often have to pull it down a bit. |
