This seems soft and unclear. I can see visible compression artifacts around some of the edges of the petals. Your file size of only 62k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing most of the detail and sharpness from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit.

Aside from my anal fixation with jpeg compression, this is pretty well done. I like the creamy background and the way the buds are peeking out from behind the open flower.

A couple of major problems with this, I'm afraid. The biggest is harsh midday sun is giving you blown highlights. The pic also seems a little soft as well. Love the lineup, however. It looks like they are all crowding around to watch you.

I didn't have time to vote all of this challenge, and this one did not come up for me. Perhaps the composition is a little too tight, with the books shoved over in the corner like they are. The strong background also grabs my attention away from the books. Hope that helps.

Glad to see this was yours. I gave it a 9. The white and red makeup suggests to me that this was probably done during the same shoot as your point of color entry. Very good dual use of the makeup effort, resulting in completely different pictures.
