I love the off-green colors of the seeds in this one. Perhaps the brightly colored background pulls my eye away from it some.

I like the way the b/w makes the shape and textures of the seeds stand out. The grain isn't adding anything to the impact for me and might even take away from the other details of the image for me.

Just ran into this while searching the keyword "cowboy". So how many times have you photographed Rocky? I'm getting quite a collection of him. I'm told when he is not at work, he dresses totally different and you would not recognize him as the same person.

Very cool shot. Looks like it's hovering above the ground. The slight fisheye appearance works well for this. However, though the background is *slightly* out of focus, I think this is not really fitting the challenge theme. As far back as those mountains and trees are, the DOF isn't really shallow at all, and what there is of the effect is not being used in a manner that adds any interest to the composition. The effect seems minor and incidental, so I expect you are getting creamed big time with DNMC votes.
