What appears to be harsh midday sun is an problem with this for me. Overly bright highlights and too-dark shadows are hard to compensate for.

Watch your JPG compression levels. I can see blocky compression artifacts all over the place in this shot. Always use the least amount of compression (largest file size)possible that fits into the challenge limits. Without all that loss of detail from compression, I think this would have some great visual appeal, and it would have gotten a pretty good vote from me. I like the way you have one excavator framed by the other one.

Regardless of one's stance on abortion, I thought this was an excellent use of the topic and I gave it a 9. I see you got slammed as expected. Deserved much better for being a technically good entry and making a strong point with it.
