vine ascended, atopby bjh0705Comment: Bumping this up from an 8 to a 9, and faving it. Just a cool looking subject. I was contacted by someone on Flickr one time regarding a shot of mine that they thought was a tree growing in a silo (It wasn't, my tree was actually behind it). Apparently trees and plants in general grow quite nicely in old silos, as they are protected from the elements when young. Here's the Flickr group if you are interested. |

Actually, it's not his field. In fact, he was trespassing in someone else's. |

Looks can be deceiving. I chatted with her and the other bike medic just after this, and they were quite friendly and eager (as are most people) to talk about what they do. I gave them one of my cards with my e-mail if they wanted the pics, but have not heard from them. Message edited by author 2010-12-16 22:17:52. |

She's all done shopping.by sjhulsComment: I'll just have to give you the benefit of the doubt that this was taken through a window, as there is no evidence of one. |

Convenience Store in Africaby vickioComment: I almost called this DNMC for being shot through a door instead of a window, then I realized the front of the display case is a window. Kudos for a somewhat sneaky take on the topic. There's a modest amount of fisheye distortion visible, which can be corrected for under advanced rules. |

Sharing Life Thru Danceby dtremainComment: I think the in-challenge comments were pretty accurate. (Except for Grog's. Why he thought this was a celebrity is a mystery to me!) The image appears somewhat flat and definitely needs a little cranking up in PP. I tried some of PSP's clarify on this, and it did help to give it a little pop and dimension. As Cory suggested, some saturation, contrast and sharpening (in addition to some clarify) would certainly help. The composition is a bit static as well. I might have composed this with a little more room at the top and more free space on the left side, to give her something to dance into. As far as the dancing, I agree it's not obvious she's dancing, both from the odd position of her arms, and the fact that she's wearing a coat and hat. Even though she surely was dancing at the time, it is not strongly conveyed by the image. |

Off the Front by QikiComment: Originally posted by Qiki: Yep, those are definitely Campy hoods. Are you implying the shot isn't clear enough for you to see that?? :) |
I was pretty sure those were campy hoods, but I wanted to say that anyway. (Just don't tell anyone that mine has Shimano pedals. Ooops!) |
