Lines in the sky? You may be seeing some minor banding. I frequently have that is smooth graduated skies like this. I can't see them on the monitor I am currently using, however. I'll have another look on a different monitor later.

The motion blur gives this the impression of a distant memory, recalled decades later.

I agree that it would have gotten killed in a challenge because of the blurred tree. The motion blurred girl, however, is wonderful. Oh, and the topic for the week was "people", not "portraits", so this suits perfectly.

Thanks for the explanation of both the religious aspects and the PP. I haven't been able to get much use out of infoucus yet. Maybe I am using the wrong adjustments, but all it seems to do for me is to create artifacts. I'll give your technique a try on some of my other shots in the side challenge. I should have plenty where the image was softer than I would like from when I had the older version kit lens.
