Bad halos around the flowers. I don't know how you are or are not doing your processing, but the way I selectively process like this is to duplicate the layer, adjust one layer and then mask using a soft edged brush. That helps minimize obvious halos and sharp edges for me.

So I am asking myself, if it is primarily about the shapes and textures rather than the subject. My response to myself is that it is a photo of a pretty woman that tells me a story of her past love.
