*sigh* I enter what I am certain is a killer shot and it pulls in the 5's. You accidentally enter your "placeholder" and pull a 6+ with it. You've got it. I don't know what "it" is, but you've got it.

I see you've handily solved the problem of the ground being in the way of getting a stronger perspective. Nicely done.

Just on the chance that nobody else has left this feedback, I'll drop a critique on this for you and hope it's appreciated. The reflection looks great, but the top is all grayish in the highlight areas. I suspect the upper area was slightly overexposed and you tried to pull the detail back in with some highlight recovery. Unfortunately, some areas were blown and it just made some unflattering grayish areas. What I don't know is if you were shooting in JPG or RAW. If RAW, you may have been able to recover the highlight areas with some appropriate techniques. Hope this helped.

I'm guessing this to be a Hahn23 entry. Right subject, with minimal processing. A bit of tonemapping (just a bit) would probably crank this scene up to DPC mass appeal levels, but I applaud your resistance to what you no doubt feel are gimmicks (gimmicks I use quite routinely, because I like them). I like the scene you managed to capture. I'm sure this was not a quick and casual shot to get. There's an awful lot in common between photography and hunting, isn't there?

I'm not totally sure what this is. Maybe a bear trap and s shovel? Whatever it is, the tones and texture are fascinating. Well done.

lucky catch

It appears to be out of focus, however I think what is really going on is that this may be a severe crop of a much larger image, and it just didn't have the clarity to withstand the crop. It was a great catch of a moment, however. Good timing.
