I like the effort here, though the vignetting strikes me as a touch too strong at the edges. The background on the right seems distracting from the rest of the image as well. The horse looks awesome, a proud and mighty beast.

Kind of has an old-film look to it. The slightly off center left to right framing works good. The sky appears overcast, not a lot of interest up there. I think cropping another 15-20% off the top would have helped the comp a little.

An interesting subject, but it's just not doing anything for me. I think the crop may be a bit too tight, or perhaps the angle too head-on.

Not sure what to make of this scene. Bundled up with scarf and jacket looks out of place on a beach, though it certainly can get cold there. As a travel picture to show she was there, this is great. There's a lot of jagginess showing aroudnd the woman, especially her left arm and purse. A different method of rescaling the image would have probably helped.

In spite of the DQ, it's still a great image. I do appreciate the need for the rules though, there has to be a line drawn to make sure something remains a photograph.
