Whaddaya lookin at?by overcloverComment: What they said! It really is good! Besides, if you are doing self portraits, you have way more confidence than me. Of course, I'm not nearly as photogenic! |

Day 26 - Eye of the Stormby photokariangelComment: Been reading the X-Men? What an awesome silhouette! Like myself, you probably get your best shots when they just happen along without a challenge in mind. Never mind. I just looked at your high scoring shots. A whole bunch of great ones. Burg Sooneckby Yo_SpiffComment: It was before I discovered lycra shorts. Also before I discovered the difference between department store bikes and good ones. That's a Huffy Concours from the BX. Yes, getting up the mountains was a challenge! A triple would have been nice to have. Message edited by author 2008-05-26 13:19:09. |

still hangin aroundby jdannelsComment: I guess I should have left a little more analysis with my in-challenge comment. I did give it a 6. I think the main issues that held it back were probably the tilt and the lighting was ok, but not the best for the subject. I also agree that the slight sepia tone didn't come off well. I would have played off the contrast of the black and silver. |

The Touristby JammurComment: I think the only thing that "went wrong" with this one is no wow-factor, which is a must to score highly on this site. It's a great illustration of this camera, and would be wonderful in a book or on a web site discussing it. If you look at the voting breakdown, you will see it got a fair amount of 6's through 8's. A lot of people liked this one.
It's important to interpret and read an entries performance performance beyond the average score. It did not come up for me in voting, or I would tell you what I gave it. Remember a mediocre score on DPC is a darn good photo anywhere else. |
