It took me a few moments to realize the subject is taking laundry out of a dryer. The glow on the forehead and hair looks a bit odd to me, but the light from the dryer does make for some nice soft light.

A very cool view. I love the flying bits of dirt. Looks like you have some sensor crud that you missed cloning out between the riders toward the top of the frame.

It was hard to tell what this one was from the thumbnail. The shape looked sort of like an angel. Nice comp and good tones for such low light conditions.

I've sometimes done a black border like that which blended into the image area and then realized it was not "obviously a border". A nitpicky DQ for sure, but rules is rules, I suppose.

An excellent example of PP improving a so-so original image. Your adjustments really brought out some detail that was not obvious in the original.

A Long Road Ahead

A nice shot with good lighting on the tracks. I think the biggest reason it came in almost a dead 5 was that it is a subject and a view that has been done many times before, and this one was good, but not really different from the rest of them. I had a similar outtake that I really liked for the "sepia" challenge, but I decided it was an overdone subject.


On the other hand, many challenges are won by people duplicating being inspired by previous winners, so what do I know?
