Mirror Mirror...Show me what I want to see!by WeJayComment: An interesting and cute shot of this girl. Composition does not sit right with me, especially the OOF piece of car inthe foreground, but the pic is sharp with good colors and lighting. I am guessing this was a shot of opportunity and not staged or you would have composed it differently. |

Through the Glassesby NairomiComment: You should use the full 720 pixels allowed in at least one direction. I'm afraid in spite of that, this still comes off to me as a snapshot. Focus is sharp, and colors are good, but there are a lot of distracting elements in the background, including a bar going through her head. Harsh midday sun is also a problem here. I've found that close-in detail shots or converting to b/w seems to help with the midday shots. |

The Day's Endby Dominic146Comment: A pleasing scene. You should have used the entire 720 pixels allowed in at least one direction, however.
Also, your file size of only 47k indicates a highly compressed image and that may be robbing a lot of additional detail and sharpness from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one) |

Cholla Cactus (Joshua Tree)by pipersdComment: Maybe a little too much detail and business for this size, my eye is not really being drawn to any part of the scene. The horizon strikes me as too centered in the frame. I think it's a great scene and just moving a little bit for a different perspective could have made a huge difference. |

Through the Ages.by phase3Comment: Nice interesting subject, though the comp seems a bit centered and static to me. This is the kind of thing that when shot with a wideangle view and swoopy clouds will often win challenges. |

Ode to Ireneby LonzComment: So her name is synonymous with drop shots now, eh? *sigh* |

Dueling Goldfinchsby rodfulkComment: A great action catch. It's probably already been mentioned about the grain and resolution. I suspect this may be a severe crop. Maybe some noise reduction could have helped some, but I'm not sure. |

Forgotten2by BluebearComment: I think I like htis one better. It looks right completely in mono. Nice b/w processing. Lots of juicy detail and depth showing. |
