Beauty on the Courtby LadyKComment: Didn't come up for me in voting. Most sports shots seem like snapshots, which they usually are. Don't know if you did anything special here, or if you just lucked into some fantastic lighting. This appears to have been taken during a game, but it is a great in-action portrait. I expect you are getting quite a reputation around your school for swinging a lens. |

Kaylaby chromeydomeComment: Should have been a 6+, IMO. Maybe not enough in your face wow factor for that. But you still got a nice high score out of this. Freestudies are harshly voted. Adding this to my faves. |

You went all in with WHAT??by BudyaComment: Is this the Adamus sharpening method that has recently been discussed in the forums? I'm trying to figure out how to effectively do this technique in PaintShop Pro. |

Quackiness overcomes Boredom in lineby cablondeoneComment: Where did you find the duck bill? My daughter is collecting duck stuff and she would love one of those!
The photo is humorous, but I'm afraid it just comes off as a snapshot to me. A closer portrait type shot of the person wearing the duck bill would probably be great. Some levels and curves adjustment to help bump up the contrast and colors could also give this a visual boost. |

Determinedby jnenvirComment: Very cool and would be a perfect motivational poster.
There used to be a disabled woman in my local bike club that rode a hand cranked trike. She showed up on a lot of rides and was quite inspiring to me. I would not have wanted to arm wrestle with her!
This is one of those shots where strong personal appeal for me is going to get you an exceptionally high vote and a fave. (Huh?! There's no "12" button, what a ripoff!) |
