This is just a beautiful abstract. I might burn down the bright area on the right some, and I would lose the title, which just takes away from this image (for me, anyway).

Looking Down the Upstairs

I like the composition and the image. It might be worth tweeking it just a bit away from the tungsten lighting orange cast -- not all the way to "perfect" white balance, as that might be too cold, but so that the warmth of tone comes more from the wood. A small localized burn of the bright highlight in the upper left might also help, as it tends to pull the viewer's eye over there. I really like all the shadows, lines, shapes and forms here. For this challenge, the subtle "peeking" is good--if you have ready access to this location, one of these with no face might be worth it, too.

I like this, and the hint of screen sneaks up on you. The squirrel seems to be mocking and laughing at the cat, which just makes this image work.
