exceptionally well done: desolate, stark--tonalities capture the mood, and the textures add depth and dimension to the convergent composition. 9

peaceful pastoral landscape. it might be worth a look to see if cropping down about 10% vertically from the top helps or hinders, but it still gets an 8 from me either way

This is very well shot and seen. I always struggle, in images like this, with where to crop in the sky to eliminate distracting elements. You might be able to crop just below the main dark cloud in the sky, creating a bit of asymmetry, and have the image still work well (the reflections in the water, to me, are the primary features of the composition). But don't listen to me--it is your image :-) 8

great image! you may want to consider a bit of cropping to enhance the loneliness of the tree: a crop up from the bottom to just under the dark horizontal streaks in the foreground, a crop from the left to remove the shadow creeping in at the side, and a tiny crop from the right to remove the element on the horizon. After those, some cropping from the top might be warranted to restore the balance and structure of the composition. Or, you may want to consider disregarding this suggestion completely! :-) 8

DPC GTG in your backyard? Say where, say when. Seriously, though, beautiful image, nicely composed and exposed, beautiful layers... 8

This area looks familiar to me. Will be interesting to see if it is where I think it is. Garbled words aside, this is wonderful and luminous.
