To answer your questions:
a) I think the color version works fine. B&W may also be good -- give it a try and place them side by side in a new post and we can let you know how it worked out
b) To rescue the roof, try the highlights portion of the shadows/highlights aduster, athough it is possible it is too bright to be saved. But the roof does not bother me that much since you got the correct brightness on your face.

Although the composition is a bit atypical, I like your pose a lot. And you did a good job with the exposure/lighting of your face.

I think in the November FS version you lost a little bit too much detail, which you have preserved here. But I would desaturate the pink of the ear a bit.

Great focus and details of eyes/eyebrows/lips/skin, diagonal position of eyes works nicely, eyebrows are very impressively perfect. Crop works well.

I like the pose/look, colors, sporty feel to this. I agree with the others, crop it -- at the very least on the top crop out that top horizontal bar thing, and on the bottom crop out at least half of the shorts.

I am impressed that the light from your flash did not look at all harsh -- what did you put on it?

Nice rugged looking individual, and the processing is nice and rugged to go with it. And the hair, of course, takes it over the top.
