This is the type of photo that most people won't understand because they don't take the time to think, or because they don't know how to analyze a photograph. The first thing you do in the morning is open your eyes, and it takes time for them to adjust to the light. No the photograph is not in focus or perfectly composed ... it's not supposed to be. This is great photo that fits the challenge well.

I'm guessing this is hotpasta. The image itself is beautiful. The composition, the lighting and the contrast are all very well done. I'd like to see an alternate version using a warmer colour as a duotone. To me the cool blue suggests night time.

Certainly a better photograph than the score would indicate. I gave you a 6. I think it's great that it is cluttered. That's how many bathroom counter tops are. I was going to suggest that you had a stronger focal point, but after some thought, I'm not sure there should be one. Perhaps if the magnifying glass played a stronger role, it could be the center of attention, surrounded by all the other items. It reminds me of Cindy Sherman's work. Keep it up!
