Lovely strong red/orange tones set on top of the blue background gives the strong contrast this challenge demands. The left hand side exhibits this quality more so than the right and the road is not important and does nothing for composition; so keeping the best bits by cropping into the tree tops and sky on the left hand side would have simplified the image, put focus on the colour contrast, cleaned up the composition and more detail in the leaves/branches would be visible.

Young Blue Eyes

Comment:
Just a shame the eyes aren't a touch sharper. Normally in this situation you would aim to have the eyes in focus and little else, but it might have been worth considering using a smaller appature to get the hat in focus since its orange colour is important here.

The blue doesn't seem strong enough to match the intensity of the orange. Also the orange and blue fade into one another so you lose that high contrast element you get from strong adjacent complementary colours. Well composed thogh and the silhouette is well defined

Great colour balance, too many pictures I have seen while voting so far have had a dull and bright colour where as here, the blue and orange seem matched. Not sure I like the motion blur on the foot but the face is in focus which is the main thing and the background is uncomplicated

Not focussed enough unfortunately. This could have worked really well, I reckon lose the hand and match and do this macro with focus on an area of the blue gas jets and then large amount of DOF either side.

Thought about doing this myself but with some more in the fore/background with some DOF effects going on. This is nice and simple and the two colours are well balanced, well composed. The blueish looking shadow is a bit odd

The corner of the eye is sharp but the green of the iris is just relatively slightly off. If the focus has been on the centre of the eye this would have been great. Also, saturating the green a bit more and bringing out the catch light a bit more would have really made the eye sparkle and improve the overall image no end IMO

Great lighting, eyes nice and sharp which is vital, the green is not as strong as the red though and could do with a bit of a saturation boost to provide more colour balance.

Unusual entry, could have done with boosting the orange during post processing though so it is of the same "strength" as the blue. The blue takes up a lot more area and so if anything, the orange needs to be even stronger still to provide balance and so to achieve this you might have had to desaturate the blue channel as well as saturating the red.

Comment:
Focus seems to be on the green surface and not on the dice and so the image as a whole seems out of focus as the dice are the "eyes" and therefore the main subject of the image. Using a smaller apature to ensure everything is sharp, or using manual focus to get the tops of the dice in focus would have been better IMO.
