this is a case where I don't like the narrow depth of field. I think the picture would be better if ALL of it were blurry. But that is my opinion, and I suspect I am in a vast minority. I like the colors. It has kinda a dreamy quality to it. karmat

I'm back. I just noticed something else I liked about this picture (subsequently moving it up a vote). The position the cat is in automatically makes me look into the distance to see what it sees. I just really like this picture.

If it had been possible, I think it would have been cool to focus on just one of the round thingys - like what is in the lower left. Good capture on the texture and detail, but it is just a little dark on the right for my personal taste. Still, a nice picture. karmat

It's a good interpretation of texture, but the whole thing seems a little flat to me. Maybe if a corner or two were curled slightly, casting a slight shadow, it would seem to have more depth. karmat

Braiding was a good idea; it kept it from just being hair. At first, I wanted it in color, but the more I look at it like this, the more I like it -- it leaves something to the imagination. karmat
