Interesting shot. I think one of two things would have improved it. A) more light on the rest of the face so that the nose-light is not so stark, or B) Less light on the face so that it fades to complete darkness and all you see is the nose and mouth. Not sure how you would do that though.

Something about how this is framed feels a little off to me. You have two lines that connect near the top middle, maybe if they were more off to one side and down lower. i like the black and white. karmat

You have a good idea here, I just think the composition needed to done a little differently. You have several lines running in the picture. The headline is horizontal, the other piece of paper is running up to the right and the phone is angled up to the left. As a result, the eye keeps trying to follow the lines and can't find a place to rest. I think if the cup and phone were moved to the other side, and the papers slid to the right about half a frame, it might help. Then, the phone, paper and headline would form a triangle shape. Just a thought. karmat

Cool picture. Only two things -- it seems to have a slight yellowish cast on the left side, and I think the phone needs to be in some and angled with the bottom going to the right. It looks like it is out of the frame almost, and that makes it seem unbalanced to me. karmat
