The people look a bit brighter than the rest of the surroundings, so that looks a bit unnatural to me. It has a bit of a snapshot feel to it--maybe the expressions cause that. They look "forced" like they know the shot is being made, but they are trying to pretend it's not. (and just as an aside, I used to have a pair of black and whites vans just like that -- most comfortable shoes I've ever had.)

This is NICE! I like the subtle contrast of the yellow with the blue background and the clean-ness of the white on blue. It would be interesting to play with the background colors and see how it changes the "mood" of the shot.
