Januaryby darnokComment: Beautiful scenic view, excellent vantage point with amazing DOF. I like the way the dark sky brings your eye back down to the waterfall. The detail and vivid color is right on. Very nicely done. |

madamby BlackboxComment: You are indeed an artist and this is an excellent example of impressionistic digital imagery. It appears to be a lensbaby shot although I'm no expert, I think you achieved the effect very well, with or without.
Addendum: Brad, I wish you would share with us the technical aspects of your PP so people can better understand what was involved in achieveing this effect. Message edited by author 2009-02-24 21:39:42. |

The Birdsby J-MeComment: You're absolutely right, it has the same eerie feeling as Hitchcock's The Birds and I think the reason is because they used similar closeup angled shots when filming to give the illusion of being attacked by the birds. The closeups also camouflaged the fact there weren't that many birds to begin with. But, you definitely captured that illusion. I also like the composition/design of your image and the line of clouds along the bottom to counter balance the birds and give the feeling of height/depth.
Very well done, Jamie! |

Edited Deerby scooter97Comment: Nicely improved. The snowflake in the eye is gone and the contrast is better. I like the softness in this image, it's very natural. I think this is one of your best. |

Look-Look!!-Over-there!by scooter97Comment: Red-tails are quite a find. There are groups of people who spend hours waiting and watching for these magnificent birds, I guess they're called Red-tailed hawk spotters.
Very nice capture. |
