The composition is tasteful and fun, the background hue very appropiate. Love the worn, ornate oven plate (or whatever it may be). | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 05/29/2003 12:49:07 AM | Where the Wild Things Areby sagestudioComment: I enjoy the intimate sincerity inherent in this capture. The natural expressions and gestures are matched by the lighting, which appears to be daylight. The wonderful couch cover relates a traditional element, the clean, unpretentiousdenim suggests hands-on work, provisions, safety. The frivolous dress of the girl on the left introduces joy and lightens the mood. One obvious flaw is the light area behind the top back of the couch, which, of course, cannot just be 'cropped off'. I would, ideally, also be able to see a lil more of the man's sweater, for texture.
All in all, this remains my favourite photograph in the challenge, and not alone for its topicality. This photo has 'range', and I am moved by it. > 8 | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 05/28/2003 11:39:05 PM | Illuminationby TarbiniComment: I'm trying to decide what, if anything, is alluded to with the latent meaning of the title. Would it be irony or sarcasm regarding the suburban baroque of the artifacts? |
| 05/28/2003 11:25:45 PM | A repair joint where cyclists' wheels call homeby donpramComment: May I suggest I syntactically correct title: "A Repair Joint Cyclists' WheelsCall Home". Still, a complex title...
The light, except for the flashlight near the wheel, is too unnaturally red. Otherwise, this could be a reasonable study, given the attention of the onlookers. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 05/28/2003 10:30:08 PM | Home is where Harley isby boyte1Comment: Nice back of a rose, Harley looks like a sensitive guy (depite the name), the trailer and vehicles add nothing to rosy and Harley, the sparse foreground grass is not the prettiest sight, the sky, being washed, bears no interest. A shallow depth of field would remedy most of these shortcomings and make for a better picture, IMO. |

It just does Not say 'Home Sweet Home'. But does it ever break up the monotony of voting on shots of street signs, street signs, street signs! |
