Yellow is one of the hardest colours to get good detail in, especially in bright light. The composition works here however I think the light is too harsh to do the cactus flower justice.

The focus on the face is good and the viewer is drawn directly to it, however, one eye has a much stronger blue tone to it than the other and it's very distracting.

Great use of depth of field. The eye is drawn directly to the point where the brush meets the paper. The curvy lines and the quick decent into blur give a sense of motion. Very dynamic (for me anyway).
