Your Gardenby MonaComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Mona...
Good rule of thumb: If you ask for an in depth critique, you should be willing to include your own comments with your photo when you submit it. Does this photo not have any meaning or interest to you personally? If not, it's not worth asking for an in depth critique. You have to care about it before you should ask someone else to do the same :)
I think you have a nice angle and composition on this flower bud. The water droplets look very pleasing and the diagonal orientation works well here.
The image is displaying a lot of noise in the background. Based on your exposure information, it's probably not from a bad exposure. It may be cropped out of a larger image or something... maybe sharpening artifacts?
Keep up the good work.

I think this is a decent postcard type photo. The exposure is really nice for a nighttime photo. It's a little soft though. Some sharpening would benefit this photo greatly. I actually like the slight tilt in the building also. That seems to add a nice effect.
In the lower left, there is a fountain base or something that feels like it doesn't belong in the image. Maybe a slight compositional change of camera angle would allow you to remove that and keep the same general feel to this photo.

Noble Spiritby moodvilleComment: I like the title integration on this photo. This chimp looks old... maybe the wise man of the group... the leader. Maybe he sits quietly and oversees the antics of the younger members of the group. Excellent shot... = 10 |

Rustyby wingyComment: This is excellent. I enjoy an image where the photographer sees beyond the 'whole' and starts to work with specific elemtns of an object. A stop sign on its own has an interesting shape and possibly some nice contrast with its environment, but you have observed a detail within the sign that has a lot of strength on its own. Wind, weather, and storm take their toll on everything. Excellent capture... = 10 |

Lurking in the brushby CamComment: These 'Coots' are quite entertaining to watch. I like the clucking sound they make and they have a really brilliant red eye :) |

KFCby Beerme425Comment: Very nice detail.. the composition feels a little 'tight'.. primary elements are a bit too close to the edge of the frame in places. The background doens't support the subject well either, IMO. = 5 |
