The detail you have captured in this photo is very nice. The background in this shot is blurred out nicely with the shallow depth of field. You may want to try this photograph again sometime with a black piece of paper behind the flower to really bring the flower out. Even thought the background is blurred, it is 'busy' with activity... I think I can see an orange garden hose maybe?

I enjoyed reading all the comments on your photo. I see that I'm not the only one that thought it was the Blue Ridge Parkway! Lots of people think this is a road they know so it's a great choice... Congratulations on your win!

I like this photo... If i'm not mistaken, this is one of my favorite motorcycle rides... Is this along the blue ridge parkway in North Carolina? This particular perspective is really nice in the fall... About the 2nd week of October, these leaves are in full color. This is the nicest example of road curves I have seen lately :)

Is that bird poop on the sign? :) This particular photograph appears to be a little grainy in the background... Maybe try capturing some of the curvy road with the sigh on your next attempt....

Greetings from another guitar player! I love the color in this photo but there is a slight focus/depth of field issue that is making me strain. The guitar bridge and the strings are absorbing a lot of your light source in the exposure... I am assuming that this is a longer-than-standard exposure... The composition of this photo is excellent!

Very nice photograph! I started out with photographs of my guitar for this challenge and I'm glad I chose otherwise at this point. The reason I did not use the guitar is because the frets and strings distracted from the cuvres in the photo. Your 'stringless' violin works very well here ! The light reflections add a very nice touch!

This photograph is also out of focus... It appears that the camera is inside it's minimum focal range... Maybe if the camera had a macro mode, it would have worked better for this shot...

I had this idea myself but didn't pursue it. Your bowl really sets off the curve concept with the rings around the edges. Maybe a little twist of pasta around the fork would have added some more excitement to this shot.. Maybe a sprig of parsley? Very nice work...
