This is a beautifully executed image... I *love* the contast between the red rose, the dark shadows, and the white background.. I envy those of you who do well with white backgrounds... that has been an area I have avoided and i really need to work on it some... It takes more time and patience than I am usually willing to give to get these images just right... I love the diagonal orientations in this photo also... I'm a sucker for the strong diagonals. I am trying to decide how much i like the blurred shadow.. i think it works very well here but I would also like to see the same image with a more defined sharp shadow... I don't see any reason that this photo should not receive a 10 :) Great work!

This is a GREAT shot... I, possibly, would have enjoyed seeing just a little more of the sound hole to help accentuate the fact that I'm looking at an acoustic guitar... great capture of shadows :)

This is absolutely beautiful... I love this concept... I love the diagonal as well.. the only minor complaint I have is that I would probalby have attempted to remove the horizontal line at the top of the frame... just a minor thing... still gets a 10 :) - jmsetzler

I think the 'glare' is distracting from any shadow that may be visible in this image... Maybe a glare is an 'anti-shadow'??

I see the shadows in this photo, yet they are not adding anything interesting or special to the overall impact of the image... The left half of this image is also quite over exposed... With 'shadows' being the subject of this challenge, I feel that the shadows should be playing some definite role in the image...

I think that the shadow in this photo would be more powerful if the brick wall was more in focus. Since these bricks have a rough texture, the lack of focus is quite distracting here... - jmsetzler
